Martha and Mick Tie The Knot at The Nest in Seattle

Martha and Mick’s intimate Seattle rooftop wedding is likely one of our top 5 weddings of 2021. The location, the couple’s style, the neutral color palette, the floral choices – all so swoonworthy!

Wedding Ceremony at The Nest in Seattle

An Elegant Outdoor Setting

Many of our 2021 couples looked for ways to have the safest setting possible for their wedding day. And outdoor venues were certainly an attractive option – especially during the pandemic. No better place for an intimate celebration than The Nest rooftop bar at The Thompson Hotel in Seattle. With vast views across the Puget Sound to West Seattle and the Olympic Peninsula, The Nest is one of our favorite outdoor venues in Seattle.

This wedding was a feast for the eye. Beautiful floral arrangements, a grand blooming floral arch, modern lucite touches, a clear tent, a grand twinkle light installation, greenery chandeliers, masses of candles – and of course the view. A true truly stunning wedding.

The Floral Details

Martha and Mick envisioned designs in whites and creams mixed with lots of lush eucalyptus greenery. Martha’s favorite flower is the Panda anemone – the delicate white bloom with a black center. 2021 was a challenging year for specific floral wishes as we were facing major disruptions and shortages throughout the year. But luckily our suppliers pulled through and we got them! We created lush garden designs of ivory roses, white ranunculus, white lisianthus, white stock and delphinium, and of course Panda anemones.

A Seattle Rooftop Wedding Ceremony

For the ceremony we created a large, asymmetric arbor blooming with cream and ivory roses. We lined the aisle with floral pieces propped onto clear lucite pedestals, lots of hurricane candles, and lanterns. The ceiling was decorated with greenery vines. And all this with the grandest views across the sound. It truly was a quintessential Seattle Rooftop Wedding!

The Intimate Wedding Reception

For the intimate dinner reception the couple opted for one long guest table seating about 40 guests. We lined the long table with low centerpieces and lots of taper candles. Velvet linens and clear lucite ghost chairs completed the look. And the grand twinkle chandelier in the tent ceiling provided a soft glow and was perfecting the ambiance. Such a pretty setting!

Jen and Justin’s beautiful Novelty Hill wedding was a summer flower lover’s dream come true. Roses, cosmos, dahlias, astrantia, oregano, artemisia and so many more textures were used in ombré fashion to create truly stunning designs.

A smiling wedding couple just married at Januik-Novelty Hill Winery, walking down the aisle

A Romantic Novelty Hill Wedding

Jen and Justin celebrated their wedding on July 31, 2021 at the lovely grounds of Januik-Novelty Hill Winery in Woodinville. It was a balmy, warm summer day, perfect for an outdoor ceremony and romantic reception with their close friends and family.

We loved working with Jen on her color palette and designs. She envisioned lush, local garden flowers in tones of neutral, cream, mauvy pinks, and deep burgundy mixed with textured greenery. We had the idea to create designs in an ombré fashion. So we grouped each color together and gradually blended them from one color to the next. The outcome was so pretty!

A Stunning Bridal Bouquet

We just loved how Jen’s bridal bouquet turned out – what do you think? We used blush roses, white dahlias, white cosmos, oregano herbs, astrantia, eucalyptus greens, clematis vines, and other local summer filler flowers to create an uber-romantic bouquet. For the bride’s maids wearing long dresses in muted grey and blush we designed smaller bouquets using just cream flowers mixed with garden greens.

A Novelty Hill Wedding Ceremony

For their wedding ceremony in the outdoor garden we created a greenery and floral covered round arch. We used smilax vines, lots of roses, stock, and dahlias for a more whimsical wedding backdrop. And we lined the aisle with lanterns, decorated each aisle chair with greenery, and decorated the aisle entrance barrels with large arrangements featuring tall delphinium, roses, dahlias, cosmos, snapdragon, and trailing greenery vines.

The Romantic Winery Wedding Reception

We loved the romantic vibe of Jen and Justin’s wedding reception in the ballroom. The blush mauve velvet linens, the elegant silver Chameleon chairs, the greenery in the ceiling, many many candles, and beautiful floral centerpieces in ombré style in shades from ivory to burgundy made such a stunning setting for their wedding guests.

A Few Thoughts on Ceiling Decor

Jen and Justin wanted to add some more natural greenery to the reception space. So we suggested the addition of greenery to the ceiling and draped long vines into the rafters. Not only did it add a beautiful garden feel to the space but it tied in with the sweetheart backdrop and the vines on the dessert table. In general, ceiling greenery is a lovely decor detail enhancing the overall look of your event space, so please ask us for details.

Bailee and Andrew’s Intimate Spring Wedding in Green and White

We are so excited to share images of this uber-romantic, intimate wedding of Bailee and Andrew. They celebrated their wedding day with only closest family and friends at Newcastle Golf Club this spring. This spring wedding in white and green was a feast for the eye!

A bride and groom in front of their grounded wedding arch with white and green flowers, with bride holding a posy of Lily of the Valley flowers

A Romantic Spring Wedding

Bailee and Andrew chose a very romantic spring floral theme for their wedding day at Newcastle Golf Club last spring: white roses, white ranunculus, white stock, blooming spring branches, white delphinium, mixed with lush garden greenery.

One of the floral details, that lets a florist’s heart beat a little higher: Bailee chose a small posy of fresh local Lily of the Valley for her bouquet – how sweet is that?!

The local growing season for Lily of the Valley is very short each spring and it is super special to have them available for a bride who wants to carry a small posy of those very fragrant pretty garden flowers.

An Intimate Outdoor Ceremony

The weather on this early spring day was cooperating: the small ceremony was taking place on the Prestwick Terrace overlooking the Newcastle golf course with vast views across the sounds, to Seattle, and all the way to the Olympic mountain range in the west.

To not take away from the view, we designed a semi-circle of flowers on the floor, a grounded wedding floral arch using white delphinium, white stock, white roses, and lots of garden greenery. It served as perfect floral backdrop for this intimate ceremony.

Complementing the design, the aisle entrance was decorated with 4 large arrangements propped onto tall clear lucite pedestals of various sizes. Such a pretty setting for a small, intimate wedding ceremony!

A Reception featuring Spring Flowers in White and Green

The reception for just 20 guests was held in the Muirfield Room of the Newcastle Golf Club: the one long table was luxuriously decorated with tall and low centerpieces featuring lush white spring garden flowers mixed with lush garden greenery. Lots of votive candles and taper candles inside glass chimneys completed the tablescape.

We loved all the other little details like the napkin treatment with a fresh rose and a green velvet ribbon wrap. How sweet is that?!

But the most striking feature of the day: the large bow on Bailee’s dress repeated on the beautiful wedding cake too. So gorgeous!

Elissa and Upshur’s Spring Wedding at Chihuly Garden and Glass

I am so very excited to finally blog about this beautiful and amazing wedding of Elissa and Upshur! When you look at the stunning images by Barbie Hull Photography you’ll understand why.

We will remembered this wedding as one with the sweetest couple, the most impeccable style, at one of the most beautiful venues in town, and with an A list vendor team led by the ever so amazing team of Sprinkled In Seattle. As a designer what more can you want from a dream job!

The Ceremony with a Lucite Chuppah and and Abundance of Spring Flowers

One of our favorite elements of this wedding was the custom designed clear lucite chuppah. It created an effect that made the flowers and greenery on top appear to float … So dreamy! We lined the aisle with greenery garlands and large flower arrangements featuring seasonal spring flowers. For all bouquets and designs we used a mix of large local calla lilies, hydrangea, parrot tulips, roses, viburnum, blooming spirea, and trailing green amaranthus.

A Reception at Chihuly Garden and Glass

The reception on this beautifully sunny spring day was our favorite part of the day. We draped the round guest tables in off-white Shantung linens. And we used clear lucite chairs and clear crystal vases to perfectly complemented the airy and light feel under the glass roof. Then we designed a mix of tall and low floral arrangements featuring local spring flowers and lush spring foliages. Gold elements throughout – the beautiful glass charger plates, gold votive candles, and gold vases – gave the whole evening a classy and uber-elegant feel. Swoon!

In the many planning meetings with Elissa and her mom Donna it soon became clear that this spring wedding at the Chihuly Garden and Glass would be simply stunning. I loved Elissa’s style: modern elegance of clean lines paired with organic floral and greens. The designs with an abundance of local tulips and poppies and calla lilies were a perfect fit for the Chihuly Glasshouse and complemented the ceiling art beautifully.

A Grand Seattle Wedding Featured on Style Me Pretty

The grand Seattle wedding of Brita & Richie had it all: a wonderful couple, a tremendously generous family offering their most amazing property for this wedding, a bride with impeccable style, a stellar vendor team, farm animals, a huge custom designed tent, over 3000 white garden flowers specifically planted on-site for the wedding, uncountable pretty little details to make a most memorable wedding day! The list is long.

Garden Flowers in Blush and Whites

For Brita and her bride’s maids we used locally sourced, seasonal garden flowers in blush and creams with lots of garden greenery. We especially love the fairy roses, and English style garden roses in their bouquets. Definitely a favorite!

The Flower Filled Church Ceremony

This was such a fun project for us: we covered the church aisle in 1000s of white rose petals, and decorated the pews with greenery, flowers, and hurricane candles. Then we designed huge altar flowers featuring peegee hydrangea, delphinium, eremurus, roses, and other locally sourced white and blush blooms, and placed the flowers in tall white garden urns for height and drama.

A Romantic Tent Reception

For this Seattle wedding reception we created the most gorgeous floral backdrop for the head table. Then we hung several large greenery wreaths in the tent ceiling. We designed elevated and low centerpieces featuring garden roses, dahlias, and peonies, and made little herb bundles for each place setting. And or the cocktail reception we created fun pool floats, and decorated so many fun areas throughout the property – too many to count. The outcome was so pretty!!

This large Seattle wedding for 260 guests was planned, designed, and coordinated by the fabulous team of Vows Wedding and Event Planning – their amazing vision brought it all together. And the pictures by the fun duo of O’Malley Photographers are to die for.

Sasha and Shane had one of the most dramatic ceremony set ups we’ve ever done! We created an elevated runway lined with mirrored and lucite pillars with enormous white flower arrangements on top leading the way to the stage with our mirrored arch crowned with floral as the focal point for the ceremony. WOW! Quite impressive.

For the reception we transformed the same space, the gorgeous Four Seasons ballroom, for dinner adding tables and a giant white dance floor. By keeping everything monochromatic in pure white, from the airy shear white draping of the whole room to the beautiful chairs and of course the classic rounded white floral it makes for a feeling of restrained elegance and luxury – all flawlessly planned and coordinated by Holly of Perfectly Posh Events.

From the entrance staircase greeting guests lined with loads of candles and flowers to the ice sculpture vases and bar this wedding had it all and will be remembered by everyone for quite some time as a spectacular event.
