Emily and Will’s Elegant Chihuly Glasshouse Wedding

We love a vibrant summer wedding – especially if it’s held at the uber-elegant Chihuly Glasshouse in Seattle. Emily and Will chose a color palette for their wedding flowers that complemented the venue beautifully: various shaded of orange, hues of yellow, mixed with lush greenery. Locally grown summer garden flowers are available in abundance in August, and we used them happily throughout all their designs.

Emily’s lush garden bouquet contained roses, zinnias, cosmos, scabiosa, dahlias, and various textured pods and greens. It was such a pretty summer bouquet!

The Vibrant Summer Wedding Ceremony

Emily and Will’s ceremony was an elegant mix of lush garden greenery, glass candles, a chic clear lucite arch, and colorful summer garden flowers. The decorative focal point for their ceremony was a tall, clear lucite arch dripping with orange, peach, and coral flowers and lush greenery vines. We lined the aisle with glass hurricane candles, gold lanterns, floral planters, and attached greenery vines to some of the aisle chairs.

A Vibrant Wedding Reception

We love each and every time we get to work at the beautiful Chihuly Glasshouse in Seattle. There is so many ways to design an event that compliments the amazing glass art work in the ceiling. And this wedding was so fresh and colorful – it was a perfect design for summer! Neutral linens and gold Chivari chairs created the base and the colorful centerpieces and napkins added the cheerful pops of vibrant color. We loved how it all turned out!

Richa and Anish’s tropical peach wedding on Lake Washington was another favorite of ours from the summer of 2023. We love a beautiful Indian wedding and this couple included quite a few pretty details that were so fun to design. Vessels spilling over with fresh floral, a tropical greenery wall, garlands with fresh peach flowers, and more. Richa in a beautiful peach colored saree and Anish in a deep green, embroidered traditional jacket – this couple looked truly stunning.

A Peach Lakefront Ceremony

For the outdoor ceremony on the large Hyatt Hotel patio we incorporated peach and white floral with tropical accents like large palm leaves and banana leaves. For this tropical peach wedding on Lake Washington we designed a wooden mandap with large color-blocked floral clusters featuring roses, dahlias, snapdragon, lisianthus, and stock in shades of peach and white. Large monstera leaves, palm, leaves, and banana leaves added that tropical touch the couple wanted to achieve.

A Tropical Reception

And look at their beautiful reception! For the stage we created a large tropical greenery wall that served as gorgeous backdrop. More floral waterfall vessels and lanterns decorated the stage which served as gorgeous focal point during the reception. The dinner tables were more simple, yet elegant in style: lots of bud vases and candles decorated some of the tables, while other tables were adorned with tropical floral centerpieces. Champagne linens and gold Chivari chairs completed the look.

The Romantic Seattle Outdoor Wedding of Katie and Eddie

Bride and groom in front of their large floral ceremony backdrop for their Seattle outdoor wedding

Katie and Eddie celebrated their Seattle outdoor wedding in July of 2021. Due to the pandemic they were one of our couples who chose to reschedule their wedding date from the summer of 2020 to July of 2021. So trying to keep pandemic risks at a minimum, for their July 2021 wedding date they greatly reduced their guest count and moved their wedding completely outdoors. The ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner reception took place on the outside patio at the Hyatt Regency South Lake Washington and what a stunning affair it was!

Summer Flowers for a Summer Wedding

We fell in love with the color palette and design style as soon as we saw the couple’s inspiration board: grand arrangements of blush roses, dahlias, and ranunculus with tall orange eremurus, blue and white delphinium, rich smoke bush foliage, paired with lots of textured garden greenery and elements. Swoon!

For her bouquet, Katie wanted to go large with trailing elements. We designed a romantic, hand-tied bouquet featuring mainly roses and dahlias and trailing jasmine and long-stemmed astilbe added texture and movement.

For the ceremony we created grand arrangements of various sizes placed into large brown urns. For a staggered look we placed two of those tall urns on top of tall brown pedestals. These urns were overflowing with an abundance of colorful, mostly local garden flowers: dahlias in all sizes and many shades of blush, orange, and coral. Tall blue delphinium, red amaranthus, and various colored, textured greens. This created a dramatic and super-pretty backdrop!

The Outdoor Wedding Reception

The intimate dinner reception for just 40 guests was a truly romantic and stunning summer affair. The couple chose tables draped in specialty linens, woven French country chairs, elegant glass charger plates, lots of candles, and gorgeous floral arrangements to create an atmosphere to be remembered. And tall centerpieces with lots of candles on every table assured a wow effect and the towering ceremony pieces served as gorgeous backdrop behind the head table. Just wow!

Guests enjoyed a balmy summer evening with great views of Lake Washington until late into the night.

Elissa and Upshur’s Spring Wedding at Chihuly Garden and Glass

I am so very excited to finally blog about this beautiful and amazing wedding of Elissa and Upshur! When you look at the stunning images by Barbie Hull Photography you’ll understand why.

We will remembered this wedding as one with the sweetest couple, the most impeccable style, at one of the most beautiful venues in town, and with an A list vendor team led by the ever so amazing team of Sprinkled In Seattle. As a designer what more can you want from a dream job!

The Ceremony with a Lucite Chuppah and and Abundance of Spring Flowers

One of our favorite elements of this wedding was the custom designed clear lucite chuppah. It created an effect that made the flowers and greenery on top appear to float … So dreamy! We lined the aisle with greenery garlands and large flower arrangements featuring seasonal spring flowers. For all bouquets and designs we used a mix of large local calla lilies, hydrangea, parrot tulips, roses, viburnum, blooming spirea, and trailing green amaranthus.

A Reception at Chihuly Garden and Glass

The reception on this beautifully sunny spring day was our favorite part of the day. We draped the round guest tables in off-white Shantung linens. And we used clear lucite chairs and clear crystal vases to perfectly complemented the airy and light feel under the glass roof. Then we designed a mix of tall and low floral arrangements featuring local spring flowers and lush spring foliages. Gold elements throughout – the beautiful glass charger plates, gold votive candles, and gold vases – gave the whole evening a classy and uber-elegant feel. Swoon!

In the many planning meetings with Elissa and her mom Donna it soon became clear that this spring wedding at the Chihuly Garden and Glass would be simply stunning. I loved Elissa’s style: modern elegance of clean lines paired with organic floral and greens. The designs with an abundance of local tulips and poppies and calla lilies were a perfect fit for the Chihuly Glasshouse and complemented the ceiling art beautifully.

Margot and Justin’s Romantic Pacific Northwest Wedding

We loved Margot and Justin’s beautiful Pacific Northwest wedding! Everything from the sweet bride and groom, the location of their ceremony and dinner reception, the color palette, all the many details, the bride’s flawless style … Swoon-worthy all around!

Margot’s bouquet of peach David Austin roses, Cafe au Lait dahlias, ranunculus, chocolate cosmos, lovely blue forget-me-not, mini green hydrangea, and ferns set the tone for this elegant affair at a private residence in Medina. Her lovely bouquet was a perfect translation of their French Country and Modern Northwest Garden inspired theme.

A True Pacific Northwest Wedding with Ferns and Moss

For the backyard ceremony under a clear tent we custom-built a moss covered arbor adorned with colorful garden blooms and Northwest ferns. We lined the aisle with large moss orbs featuring small, a-symmetrical floral clusters.

A Tent Reception with A Large Floral Chandelier

But our favorite part of the day was the reception: all the amazing details made for a memorable evening. Even an early fall freak storm couldn’t stop guests from dancing the night away. Long tables were lined with taper candles and elegant flowers in white ceramic vessels, a large floral chandelier adorned the area above the dance floor, pool floats and hurricanes lined the surrounding ponds, a nearby willow tree was dripping in light chains … It sure was a favorite of our 2016 weddings.
We were so thrilled to see this wedding featured on Style Me Pretty.

I hope you liked this wedding. If you did, you might also like these recent tent weddings we designed:

Anita and Ab were so lovely and certainly are not afraid of bold, bright colors! For their late spring Indian wedding we were able to include some of our favorite flowers, peonies, ranunculus and poppies! What a stunning bouquet they made!

The weather was not quite cooperating – it drizzled all day out at Kiana Lodge – but how could you be upset about that with such a fun wedding party and those cheerful colors surrounding you. We love these images by the ever so fabulous Shane Macomber!! I am especially in love with the pictures of the couple holding fun umbrellas!!

For the ceremony we scattered a lush bed of thousands of rose petals and lined the aisle with beautiful urn arrangements. Along with the talented gals at Perfectly Posh Events we were able to create a wedding that is a brightly colored feast for your eyes! One of our favorites this past spring!!
