Wedding at the Fairmont Olympic: Lindsay & Erin

After a year and a half of wedding planning (thanks, pandemic!), Lindsay and Erin finally celebrated their wedding at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel in grand style. This couple envisioned an elegant and softly traditional event, filled with flowers in shades of white, cream, and blush and lush garden greenery. For her bouquet, Lindsay opted for a modern ombre design of white and blush garden roses, sweet ranunculus and lisianthus, and soft pink larkspur. The groom and groomsmen in their black tuxes and bridesmaids in long pale silk gowns were elegance itself – just look at this beautiful wedding party!

A Romantic Ceremony in the Garden Room

The high ceilings and arched windows of the Fairmont Olympic’s Garden Room created a stunning backdrop for this wedding ceremony. And with such a grand backdrop, we knew we needed to create a ceremony arch worthy of such a space. The 12 foot tall tall lucite arch was topped with a bower of roses and soft greenery, and flanked on either side by large white urns filled with lush floral. Down the aisle, groupings of glass hurricane candles sparkled. A big shout-out to the team at Crimson Haze – their uplighting during the ceremony was the perfect finishing touch to send this ceremony over the top!

A Lavish Reception in the Spanish Ballroom

A stunning long head table surrounded by flowers anchored the reception space. A lush floral runner ran the length of the table and trailed off both ends. Creating a lovely backdrop behind the table, a set of four large white urns overflowed with flowers and greenery. The white tiered wedding cake, decorated with a cascade of blush and white roses and green leaves sat on its own round table, draped in gold linen. And throughout the room, round dinner tables featured a mix of low floral arrangements in gold compotes and towering tall arrangements set on fluted crystal vases.

The Romantic Seattle Outdoor Wedding of Katie and Eddie

Bride and groom in front of their large floral ceremony backdrop for their Seattle outdoor wedding

Katie and Eddie celebrated their Seattle outdoor wedding in July of 2021. Due to the pandemic they were one of our couples who chose to reschedule their wedding date from the summer of 2020 to July of 2021. So trying to keep pandemic risks at a minimum, for their July 2021 wedding date they greatly reduced their guest count and moved their wedding completely outdoors. The ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner reception took place on the outside patio at the Hyatt Regency South Lake Washington and what a stunning affair it was!

Summer Flowers for a Summer Wedding

We fell in love with the color palette and design style as soon as we saw the couple’s inspiration board: grand arrangements of blush roses, dahlias, and ranunculus with tall orange eremurus, blue and white delphinium, rich smoke bush foliage, paired with lots of textured garden greenery and elements. Swoon!

For her bouquet, Katie wanted to go large with trailing elements. We designed a romantic, hand-tied bouquet featuring mainly roses and dahlias and trailing jasmine and long-stemmed astilbe added texture and movement.

For the ceremony we created grand arrangements of various sizes placed into large brown urns. For a staggered look we placed two of those tall urns on top of tall brown pedestals. These urns were overflowing with an abundance of colorful, mostly local garden flowers: dahlias in all sizes and many shades of blush, orange, and coral. Tall blue delphinium, red amaranthus, and various colored, textured greens. This created a dramatic and super-pretty backdrop!

The Outdoor Wedding Reception

The intimate dinner reception for just 40 guests was a truly romantic and stunning summer affair. The couple chose tables draped in specialty linens, woven French country chairs, elegant glass charger plates, lots of candles, and gorgeous floral arrangements to create an atmosphere to be remembered. And tall centerpieces with lots of candles on every table assured a wow effect and the towering ceremony pieces served as gorgeous backdrop behind the head table. Just wow!

Guests enjoyed a balmy summer evening with great views of Lake Washington until late into the night.

A Grand Seattle Wedding Featured on Style Me Pretty

The grand Seattle wedding of Brita & Richie had it all: a wonderful couple, a tremendously generous family offering their most amazing property for this wedding, a bride with impeccable style, a stellar vendor team, farm animals, a huge custom designed tent, over 3000 white garden flowers specifically planted on-site for the wedding, uncountable pretty little details to make a most memorable wedding day! The list is long.

Garden Flowers in Blush and Whites

For Brita and her bride’s maids we used locally sourced, seasonal garden flowers in blush and creams with lots of garden greenery. We especially love the fairy roses, and English style garden roses in their bouquets. Definitely a favorite!

The Flower Filled Church Ceremony

This was such a fun project for us: we covered the church aisle in 1000s of white rose petals, and decorated the pews with greenery, flowers, and hurricane candles. Then we designed huge altar flowers featuring peegee hydrangea, delphinium, eremurus, roses, and other locally sourced white and blush blooms, and placed the flowers in tall white garden urns for height and drama.

A Romantic Tent Reception

For this Seattle wedding reception we created the most gorgeous floral backdrop for the head table. Then we hung several large greenery wreaths in the tent ceiling. We designed elevated and low centerpieces featuring garden roses, dahlias, and peonies, and made little herb bundles for each place setting. And or the cocktail reception we created fun pool floats, and decorated so many fun areas throughout the property – too many to count. The outcome was so pretty!!

This large Seattle wedding for 260 guests was planned, designed, and coordinated by the fabulous team of Vows Wedding and Event Planning – their amazing vision brought it all together. And the pictures by the fun duo of O’Malley Photographers are to die for.

Brittany and Alvin celebrated their oh-so elegant and romantic wedding at the iconic Dome Room at the Arctic Club Hotel in Seattle this past September. This gorgeous wedding was designed and produced in coordination with the fabulous team at New Creations Weddings.

The historic Dome Room was the perfect fit for this couple’s timeless, super-elegant style and their rich color palette of deep reds and navy blue with accents of blush, gold, and lush sage greens looked so classy there.

We used dahlias, roses, scabiosa, and anemones in rich burgundy, mixed with sage colors of eucalyptus greens, and blush tones. We created lush garden style arrangements in gold colored compote vases. The designs looked rich and vibrant on navy shantung linens, and paired with the gold vases and candle holders the look was so classy!

Lauren and Jake’s Elegant Rooftop Wedding

Lauren and Jake’s fabulously chic Olympic Rooftop Pavilion wedding was a perfect mix of clean modern lines and lush garden florals. Clear lucite ghost chairs, a lucite arch, and lots of stemmed glass hurricanes sparkled in the sunshine and gave the event an air of sophistication that complimented this trendy industrial-chic rooftop venue.

Lauren’s Beautiful Pink Peony Bouquet

We are in love with peonies! And luckily Lauren was too. And it was even luckier that their wedding date was during local peony season and we had an abundance of peonies from local growers available. For Lauren’s lush garden style bouquet we used white, blush, and pink peonies, garden roses, garden spray roses, blooming clematis vines, and other locally grown garden flowers. It was such a pretty composition!

A Ceremony with Trailing Greenery and Lush Flowers

For the ceremony, smilax vines flowed down the aisle and cascaded down the lucite arch, which was topped with asymmetrical floral in cream, blush, and pink. Then we lined the aisle with hundreds of candles. And clear lucite chairs for ceremony and reception completed the look.

A Chic Reception for a Olympic Rooftop Pavilion Wedding

At dinner, the modern-meets-garden theme continued with more clear lucite touches. We used custom table numbers, welcome signs, a lucite cake stand, and even lucite name cards.  A romantic mix of compote arrangements and bud vases in silver mercury and blown venetian glass lined the long tables.  The outdoor fireplace mantle topped with lush floral became a focal point as the guests gathered to take in the view and soak up the sun.

Look at this stunning couple!! Andrea and Louden had very specific and defined taste for their wedding – they knew exactly what they wanted. We never had to guess about design choices for their event – and everything turned out perfectly!

We love an outdoor garden wedding, and Laurel Creek Manor is such a beautiful setting for one. For the ceremony we draped the large arbor with sheer fabric, a greenery garland, and lots of cream, champagne and pale pink blooms. The aisle was lined with buckets of rose petals down either side.

Andrea’s bouquet, with eucalyptus, garden roses, scabiosa, and tied with silk and lace streamers, was a perfect complement to the whole romantic affair! So dreamy!
