Lauren and Jake’s June wedding at the fabulously chic Olympic Rooftop Pavillion was a perfect mix of clean modern lines and lush garden florals. Clear lucite ghost chairs, a lucite arch, and lots of stemmed glass hurricanes sparkled in the sunshine and gave the event an air of sophistication that complimented this trendy industrial-chic rooftop venue.  For the ceremony, smilax vines flowed down the aisle and cascaded down the lucite arch, which was topped with asymmetrical floral in cream, blush, and pink.

At dinner, the modern-meets-garden theme continued with more clear lucite touches in the custom table numbers, welcome sign, and cake stand.  A romantic mix of compote arrangements and bud vases in silver mercury and blown venetian glass lined the long tables.  The outdoor fireplace mantle topped with lush floral became a focal point as the guests gathered to take in the view and soak up the sun.  The lovely Lisa Chambers of Chambers & Company deftly coordinated this rooftop idyll, and the whole thing was beautifully captured by the team at Alante.  Enjoy!

Look at this stunning couple!! Andrea and Louden had very specific and defined taste for their wedding – they knew exactly what they wanted. We never had to guess about design choices for their event – and everything turned out perfectly!

We love an outdoor garden wedding, and Laurel Creek Manor is such a beautiful setting for one. For the ceremony we draped the large arbor with sheer fabric, a greenery garland, and lots of cream, champagne and pale pink blooms. The aisle was lined with buckets of rose petals down either side.

Andrea’s bouquet, with eucalyptus, garden roses, scabiosa, and tied with silk and lace streamers, was a perfect complement to the whole romantic affair! So dreamy!

We at Flora Nova Design wanted to share something a little different with you. We love showcasing the gorgeous weddings that we are so honored to be a part of, but we haven’t ever shared what it looks like to build and design. So we decided to have one of our Design Assistants document our creative process! Here is a behind the scenes look of what goes into creating our designs!

Designing a bridal bouquet: Probably our favorite! The prettiest blooms go into the bouquets for the bride and her bride’s maids. In the photos below our designer creates Lauren’s bridal bouquet using a mix of peonies (yes, it was a June wedding), English garden roses, spray roses, scabiosa, rice flower, Dusty Miller, raspberry foliage, and white tweedia. How yummy is that bouquet?!

Building a ceremony arch: Lauren and Jake envisioned a lush garden arch for their ceremony. Since they opted for clear lucite ghost chairs, we used our clear lucite pillars and adorned them with long trailing smilax vines and large garden blooms in cream and blush. The outcome was a stunning organic design with a modern touch.

Creating table designs: When you’re planning a wedding, there are so many options for what you can do with the design of reception tables. For this particular wedding, our lovely bride and groom chose to have several longer dinner tables with an array of smaller vases lining the table center. You don’t always need large arrangements to achieve a dramatic look. As you can see in the photos below, we designed using all different shaped low silver mercury vases. Paired with lots of candles this created a stunning table scape!

We hope you liked this behind-the-scenes look of Lauren and Jake’s beautiful June wedding. Let us know if you’d like to see more of these type of blog posts – we would be happy to show you others.

Camille and Sam had such a soft romantic wedding at the Four Seasons Seattle last December! We love designing classic weddings like this in a palette of creams and blush, with ruffles, sparkle and tons of candlelight! It is truly a timeless look. And their wedding got even more magical with spirit of the season.

Camille and Sam married almost a year ago, during the holiday season: It is almost time for their first anniversary! Congratulations, you two!

To set the mood for this beautiful wedding we lined the staircase with candles to usher all the guests up to the ballroom. All the arrangements were kept simple and effortless in style but received a splash of drama from the gold and sparkly accents. Can we just talk about that MIRRORED HEAD TABLE?!! Super glamorous, especially paired with ghost chairs. A perfect place for Camille, Sam and their bridal party to sit and enjoy this lovely wedding. And what a great choice to fully drape the walls of the ballroom in delicate sheer fabric! In combination with the soft uplighting it created the perfect atmosphere for this beautiful winter wedding.

It was a pleasure to finally be working with Travis from True Colors Events again! And the photos by the ever so wonderful team of O’Malley Photographers are to die for. Rentals by Pedersen’s Event Rentals, linens by BBJ Linens, mirrored tables by Sal Floral, lighting by GreenLight Events.

Oh, this wedding of Caroline and Patrick!! Just wow! As soon as I saw these terrific images from La Vie Photography I was over the moon! I mean – just look at this gorgeous couple and the location of their reception! The couple chose to celebrate their wedding day at the Admiral’s House which offers a fabulous view of the city, the sound, the mountains, and the Seattle harbor.

We had a fantastic time collaborating with Holly-Kate and Company and the bride coming up with a color palette and a decor plan matching Caroline’s very own style and vision. We designed lush garden-style pieces incorporating muted pastel colors with lots of trailing greenery and blooming spring foliage. And luckily it was peony season too! Swoon – I’m so in love with the outcome – dreamy designs using so many of our favorite spring elements: anemones, garden spray roses, peonies, clematis, ranunculus, and lush garden greens.

The wedding of Brita & Richie had it all: a wonderful couple, a tremendously generous family offering their most amazing property for this wedding, a bride with impeccable style, a stellar vendor team, farm animals, a huge custom designed tent, over 3000 white garden flowers specifically planted on-site for the wedding, uncountable pretty little details to make a most memorable wedding day! The list is long.

This large event for 260 guests was planned, designed, and coordinated by the fabulous team of Vows Wedding and Event Planning – their amazing vision brought it all together. And the pictures by the fun duo of O’Malley Photographers are to die for.

This was such a fun project for us: we covered the church aisle with greenery and candles, created the most gorgeous floral backdrop for the head table, hung several large greenery wreaths in the tent ceiling, designed centerpieces featuring garden roses, dahlias, and peonies, made little herb bundles for each place setting, created fun pool floats, and decorated so many fun areas throughout the property – too many to count. The outcome was so pretty!! But see for yourself.
