Happy Anniversary to Cayla and Kevin! This wedding came to life a year ago, with a magical touch of winter snow! The inspiration of a classic white wedding filled this day with lush white arrangements. White roses and ranunculus along with delicate orchids filled the bouquets. The boutonnieres had white spray roses which complimented the bouquets. We are so happy Jenn Tai & Co was able to capture some pictures in the snow, even though we are sure they were freezing as they took these shots!

A Merry Ceremony Hall

The ceremony took place in St. Joseph Church in Seattle, Washington. The Church had dreamy Christmas decorations from the aisle to the altar created a magical ambiance. The altar, filled with candles, mistletoe, poinsettia, and Christmas trees set the stage for the ceremony. As the ceremony took place under the spot light in the dimly lit room, Cayla and Kevin shared their vows, lit their candles, and kissed. When the ceremony came to an end, The couple walked down the aisle, floral arrangements hanging from each bench, as the guests clapped and cheered, for the now, husband and wife.

A Royal Classic White Reception

This reception was an absolute classic white wedding dream! The ballroom at The Fairmont Olympic Hotel was perfect for this event and all the details tied in beautifully. Two large floral arrangements sat at the foot of the seating chart along with pillar candles to welcome the guests into the grand reception hall. Varying heights of tall and low lush round white floral arrangements sat on each table, with candles surrounding each one. Each arrangement was designed with beautiful white hydrangeas and roses. When the bride walked into the reception hall for a room reveal, she was so pleased and taken aback. She loved the setup and all the decorations and arrangements. The evening began and the bride and groom celebrated the night with their family and friends.

A Dreamy Winter Wedding

We can’t believe it has been a year since we worked on this dreamy winter wedding! Happy anniversary to Linda and Khai! This gorgeous wedding was held at Chateau Lill, a stunning Woodinville winery that is a popular venue for wedding events. For this wedding, we designed with lush white ranunculus, blush and white roses, and a verity of greenery including eucalyptus. We love how everything came out. Every arrangement and design was beautifully elegant and full of vibrant florals and greenery. Linda’s bridal bouquet was gorgeous and lush, filled with white florals with hints of blush peaking through! For her bridal bouquet we went with a large oval design to make it stand out. For the bridesmaids bouquets, we used the same florals and textures as the bridal bouquet to tie all the florals together, but we made them into smaller rounded bouquets.

A Ceremony by The Fireplace

The indoor ceremony at Chateau Lill created the dreamiest and coziest winter wedding atmosphere. The aisle was lined with tall pillar candles and floral arrangements at different heights, all leading up to the lush and gorgeous fireplace and mantel ceremony set up. Vibrant white roses and greenery draped around the stone fireplace which was filled with pillar candles of varying heights. With the winter tree off to the side, we’ll always remember what time of year this dreamy winter wedding took place.

A Toast In The Tent

This seating chart is one of the most unique we have seen! A champagne glass to lead the way to your table for the night? Yes please! We love all of the custom signage done for this reception by On The Wall Design Studio. Beautiful lush floral arrangements lining the tables, greenery and lights draping the ceiling, and sage and gold accents throughout the tent, this reception couldn’t get any dreamier! The floral arrangements and greened tent ceiling made us feel like we made this look like a winter garden reception. With sparklers to send the bride and groom off, this dreamy winter wedding came to an end, and we are so happy we got to be part of it!

Holiday Decor

It is Officially the Season for Holiday Decor Projects

Holiday season has officially started at the Flora Nova Design studio and we have dusted off the many, many boxes of ornaments, branches, icicles, and snowflakes. We are busy preparing for our upcoming holiday decor projects and holiday parties.

Just like every year we will decorate several offices in town and will provide decor for various fun corporate parties. This time of year is super fun for all of us: it is a welcome change to the busy wedding season where we get to play with glitter and sparkle.

White Winter Holiday Party

Winter Party in Gold and Silver

This was another recent holiday party – all decor elements in white, gold, and silver. For the entrance we designed a tall tree with flocked branches and light strands paired with large gold and silver ornaments. Holiday Decor 3: Winter Wonderland Party

For this all-white holiday dinner we provided tall and low centerpieces of various kinds. The tall centerpieces featured white floral and evergreen with flocked branches. And we lined the long tables with garlands of evergreen, acorns, ornaments, and rose heads and tucked in lots of specialty candles.

A Timeless Wedding at Sodo Park Seattle

Happy First Anniversary, Shaina and Brandon! We can’t believe it’s been a year already since your beautiful, romantic, timeless wedding at Sodo Park in Seattle! The couple had plans to celebrate their wedding in 2020 but like so many needed to wait a year for this fun and beautiful day. And a beautiful day it was: Shaina, together with her mom Jackie, envisioned a warm, inviting, and timeless wedding at Sodo Park in Seattle and this venue offered the perfect space for their wedding in all white, with lots of greenery, and warm candle light.

A Timeless Color Palette for a Timeless Wedding

We love a white and green wedding as is timeless and classic. White floral mixed with lots of lush greenery will always look good and we love the addition of the tall pampas grass into the ceremony arch design: it gave the arch an edgy touch. More than 200 candles throughout the venue, along the aisle, by the entrance and all the tables gave the space a warm and inviting feel for this November wedding.

The Wedding Reception

For the wedding reception we designed a mix of tall and low centerpieces in all white and green” white roses, white hydrangea, white stock and lisianthus was used to create organic garden-style designs. And of course, the candle light gave each table a warm glow. We love the addition of the white ceiling and wall drapes: it gives the space a softer and more romantic feel.

Black and White Woodmark Wedding

Woodmark Wedding in Black and White – Katie & Brandon

This lush black and white mid-summer wedding at The Woodmark Hotel came together beautifully with Lake Washington in the background. The garden greenery, black and white anemones, roses, and lacecap hydrangea gave all of the arrangements a lush and vibrant look. The bride’s lace wedding dress along with her airy garden bouquet were giving us all of the whimsical wedding feeling on that summer day. We just can’t get over how beautiful the black and white panda anemones look in the bridal bouquet and the flat lays. We are happy that Anna Peters was able to capture this day and all the details.

A Lakeside Ceremony

Adding greenery to the Woodmark tent chandeliers brought the room together beautifully. Greening ceilings and tents gives the room more depth and enhances the space by giving the eyes more to look at and admire. Lining the aisle with tall floral arrangements leading up to the circle arch brought the outdoors in and made the tent feel like a garden. The circle arch was designed with beautiful and vibrant florals and greenery, including black and white anemones, roses, and lacecap hydrangea. With Lake Washington in the background, the ceremony took place in a tent filled with loved ones.

A Sunset Garden Reception

As the sun set on Lake Washington, the tent transformed into a lush reception space. With high and low floral arrangements throughout the tent, the space was filled with elements of a lush garden. The day was uniquely captured by an artist who live painted the ceremony. She painted the details of the arch and aisle, and was able to capture Lake Washington gleaming in the background. With laughter, cheers, and dancing the night away, this lovely couples wedding day came to an end. We absolutely loved how this wedding day turned out and are so happy for the beautiful couple!

Wedding in All Pink

Wedding in All Pink: Emma and Milind at the Four Seasons

Who doesn’t love an intimate, romantic, all-pink wedding with the sweetest couple a florist could hope for?!? For their September wedding, Emma and Milind chose to decorate the ballroom at the Four Seasons Seattle with shades of pink. Emma’s bouquet featured sweet-smelling pink o’hara garden roses, pink picotee ranunculus, playful burgundy scabiosa, flowering abelia, and dahlias in all shades from the pales blush to deep burgundy. An All Pink Ceremony with a Water View

Emma and Milind’s wedding ceremony brought the outdoors in with lush garden greenery trailing along the white aisle and up the backs of the guest chairs. The dramatic rectangular arch was clad in thick green branches and vines and festooned with summer flowers. Both sides of the aisle were lined with flowers “growing” up out of the ground. An Intimate Dinner Reception with a Rosy Glow

Planner extraordinaire Amber of A Renee Weddings coordinated the overall design of this all-pink wedding reception, layering pink upon pink. The mauve velvet linens, petal pink taper candles, and soft pink votive candles were perfectly accented by touches of burgundy in the napkins and favors. Gold compotes overflowed with summer flowers in all shades of pink and burgundy. The focal point of the room, the ceremony arch became a photo-ready backdrop for the sweetheart table, which itself was lined with lush flowers. And, to top it all off, an intimate lounge seating area completed the reception space. Congratulations Emma and Milind!
