Joanna and Ben’s August wedding at Chateau Lill was truly a fairytale come to life! The Chateau’s park-like grounds were the perfect backdrop to this elegant green and white wedding. Upon arrival, guests were welcomed with a glass of bubbly (check out the custom champagne wall by Gene Alexander Designs!) and ushered through the first of three floral arches through the vineyard, past the pond, and up under the trees to the fairytale ceremony site.

A Fairytale Brought to Life in the Dreamy White Ceremony

The couple exchanged vows under a lush floral arch filled with English tea and garden roses, dahlias, delphinium, hydrangea, and stock blossoms. The wedding ceremony design was an enchanting combination of clean modern lines and overgrown romantic floral designs – all framed perfectly by the leafy tree canopy of Chateau Lill’s fairytale upper garden.

A Fairytale Wedding Reception Tent

After cocktails on the lawn, guests headed back down through the vineyard to the cool respite of the white reception tent. Here, dark chocolate and black blooms mingled with the white to create an elevated black-tie atmosphere. At the center of the tent, over the long head table, hung a stunning floral chandelier dripping with white blooms. And, as the evening light faded, the ceiling twinkled with fairy lights – a perfect end to this fairytale wedding day at Chateau Lill!

The Wedding of Emily and Frank at Novelty Hill Januik Winery

It’s been almost a year since this beautiful, romantic pastel wedding of Emily and Frank on a sunny spring day in March. Lavender and blush roses, purple and peach stock, the prettiest ranunculus in shades of lavender, purple calla lilies, fragrant jasmine vines. and many more early spring flowers brightened up their beautiful wedding day.

A Romantic Pastel Ceremony

The ceremony inside the ballroom of the chic Novelty Hill Januik Winery was transformed into a romantic spring garden featuring fragrant blooms, lots of hurricane candles, and a rounded garden arch. The ceremony arch incorporated lush spring flowers and greenery in an a-symmetrical design style.

A Dreamy Purple Reception

We loved this elegant reception setup with romantic ceiling draping, lavender table linens, silver Chameleon chairs, and of course dreamy centerpieces in shades of light purple, blush pink, light, peach, cream, and greens. Lots of silver mercury votive candles and soft wall up-lighting added amber light for this romantic pastel wedding. Swoon!

This couple was so much fun to work with! Their smiles and cheerful personalities could light up any room and you can see that through their photos. Seeing couples laughing and enjoying their big day makes us so happy to have been a part of it. We are so grateful Roddy Chung was able to capture all of the special moments and smiles! Hint: There is some epic photographs below – just stunnning!

We chose soft blush and white florals to design all of the floral arrangements and bouquets, transforming Chihuly into a lush glasshouse wedding.

A Lush Flower Garden Aisle

We were able to create a perfectly lush gardenesque ambiance for this Chihuly Glasshouse wedding. Flowers arranged in varying heights and styles lined the aisle, leading up to the front of the Glasshouse. As sunlight poured into the room, the details and beauty of the lush white and blush cascading floral arrangements came to life. The floral arrangements were designed with hydrangeas, roses, anemones, cherry blossom branches, and delphiniums. The aisle transformed into a flower garden, and the bride walked down the aisle with her mom. Cheers and celebrations for the bride and groom commence once the ceremony comes to an end as they kiss.

A Golden Glasshouse

As the sun sets on the Glasshouse, the bright orange and yellow hues in the glass ceiling art created an almost golden light at night. The celebrations continued with toasts and dancing as the couple took their seats at the head table. The head table backdrop was a golden metal design, and on either side of it, cascading floral arrangements were placed. Tall lush floral arrangements and candelabras decorated each table, along with a variety of candles to go around each centerpieces. The lush floral arrangements were designed with hydrangeas, roses, anemones, cherry blossom branches, and delphiniums. The lush cascading bar arrangement was an absolute show stopper for everyone to see as they grabbed their drinks throughout the night.

We love a wedding full of textures and unique characteristics! Lindsay and Matt did not shy away from bringing their personal touches into this velvety red winter wedding. And what better venue to have a wedding like this than The Ruins? We used so many different textured florals and unique designs while designing this wedding, and we loved every bit of it! Bringing together roses, anemone, eucalyptus, and amaranthus in all different shades from blush to red, the bridal bouquet turned out gorgeous. All of the bridesmaids worn velvet red dresses that we thought beautifully tied in with the florals and textures of the rest of the wedding.

A Ceremony At The Mantel

Nothing says a winter wedding like a fireplace. We designed a lush and growing arrangement for the fireplace mantel. The lush wild greenery in the arrangement complemented the striking florals and draping amaranths. We designed the floral arrangement on one side of the mantel, while offsetting it with candles and hurricanes on the opposite side. With petals and candles lining the aisle, the cascading fireplace was the focus of the room.

A Renaissance Reception

The ballroom in The Ruins is an European inspired masterpiece. With hand painted murals, which tie in hints of life on the PNW, it creates a mesmerizing ambiance. Dimly lit and darkly painted, it makes for a perfect place to hold a royal velvety red winter wedding reception. The gold chairs and linens from CORT decorated with gold candelabras and red taper candles create a vibrant and rich color palette for the night. The celebrations carried on as the couple danced the night away surrounded by their loved ones. We are glad to have been able to be a part of this unique wedding!

This wedding is all about volume! The Hilton Bellevue was transformed into a wedding in the clouds! The brides voluminous dress, the large round luscious floral arrangements, and let us not even start on how grand the head table looked! We went for an all white design for this wedding, and we can easily say that it felt like we were in white clouds by the end of the setup. The bridal bouquet had a cascading design with beautiful white orchids. For the bridesmaids, we kept the bouquets pretty simple with a single rose stem surrounded by babies breath. We enjoyed working with Master Plan Events on this event and making sure everything the beautiful couple wanted was possible.

All In White Ceremony

All the guests wait in the white draped room for the bride to enter. When she walked down the aisle with her veil and dress trailing behind her, all the guest are in awe. The whole bridal party was wearing white, celebrating the couple in a room draped with white fabric, with large white floral arrangements lining the aisle all the way to the back of the stage. This is no doubt, a wedding in the clouds! The floral arrangements were designed with white roses, hydrangeas, and baby’s breath, creating beautiful round floral clouds. Everyone cheers and celebrated as the ceremony ends and the newly married the couple kiss.

Dining In A Floral Cloud

The head table was a breath taking work of art. Just look at the cascading clouds of floral! The head table was designed using fluffy hydrangeas, fully bloomed roses, and clustered of baby’s breath. The tables in the ballroom had rows of candles and a variety of tall and low floral arrangements and bud vases decorating them. The reception hall had an elegant ambiance that was strikingly beautiful. The head table was the main attraction in the room! Who would be able to take their eyes off of that table as the bride and groom sat amongst clouds of cascading florals?

2023 Wedding Floral Trends – What can we expect in the coming year?

As wedding and event florists, we often get asked to weigh in on the hot 2023 wedding floral trends we see our clients asking for in the coming season. And, since our average wedding client books our services between 6 and 18 months before their wedding date, we are in an excellent position to give you an idea.

So, here it is, our predictions for the popular 2023 Wedding Floral Trends:

  • Ceiling and Wall Installations
  • Ceremony Floral Backdrops
  • Head Tables
  • Color of the Year 2023: Viva Magenta

Ceiling and Wall Installations are a Big 2023 Wedding Floral Trend

First up: Ceiling Installations, Ceiling Chandeliers, and Wall Installations. Oh my goodness, who doesn’t love entering a room and being showered in roses or lush hanging greenery? 2023 brides love utilizing every inch of their ceremony and reception venues – from the floor all the way up to the ceiling. These hanging installations can incorporate greenery vines, greenery garlands, silk or fresh flower chandeliers, floral mixed with crystal strands or antique chandeliers. And there are no limits for the 2023 bride.

Below are some more installation projects we created for very recent weddings and events – and in 2023 we will definitely see more of this trend.

You can find more detailed inspirations in our blog post Daniela and Michael’s Greenery Wedding or Neetha and Binni’s Luxury Wedding.

Ceremony Floral Backdrops

Floral arches are an old wedding standby, as traditional and trusty as it gets. And while round or rectangular floral arches certainly aren’t going anywhere, 2023 brides are looking to put a new, fresh spin on this old standard. The non-traditional floral backdrop continues to be a 2023 wedding floral trend. The 2023 couple is looking for deconstructed floral arches, where different parts of the floral arch are missing entirely, creating the illusion that the flowers are floating in space. Going strong is also the arch that simply consist of 2 tall pillars, adorned with floral in an a-symmetric fashion. Furthermore, couples are opting for the grounded arch, where floral is positioned on the ground in a half-circle. A fabulous option if the background offers a stunning view which should not be obstructed. And of course the circle arch or moon arch will stay around for the coming season.

Will you opt for one of these more unusual backdrops for your ceremony?

Grand Head Tables

We see the continuing trend to create a beautiful focal point for the reception, and 2023 couples tend to go all out when it comes to their head table or sweetheart table. Whether it’s a large floral chandelier running the full length of the head table, or adding floral on top of the table or behind the table. Giving your head table or sweetheart table more attention will go a far way. And you will surely deliver a WOW factor for your guests.

Color of the Year 2023: Viva Magenta

Pantone recently announced the Color of the Year 2023: Viva Magenta! Viva Magenta is a warm, deep pink hue and perfect to include in your color wedding palette. If it becomes a 2023 Wedding Floral Trend will need to be seen. So far we have not seen too many brides requesting this color to be included in their floral palette. But we sure would be excited to use this color in future designs. To get you inspired, here is a mood board we designed for you. What do you think? Will you use Viva Maganta in your upcoming wedding?
