Kristin and Matt Luxury Sodo Park Wedding

What a beautiful white wedding we designed for Kristin and Matt last September! Very luxurious in every way, from the crystal vases, to the crystal strands hanging from the flowers and that major WOW of their wedding arch with the lucite pillars, to orchids everywhere and glitter table linens!! A wedding full of some of our favorite things!

The arch we designed really is quite the star. With the top covered in white flowers and dripping with phalaenopsis orchids and bling, the only thing that could upstage it would be our beauty of a bride, Kristin. This is also a great example of how lighting makes all the difference! With just two simple uplights it takes the drama way up. We always encourage brides to think of these details! We hope you enjoy these images taken by the talented Laurel McConnell.

Heather & Tommy’s Sweet Garden Wedding at SoDo Park

Flora Nova Design Seattle Garden SoDo Park Wedding

Heather and Tommy’s July wedding at SoDo Park showcased a romantic garden feel in an urban industrial setting. Planner Stephanie Wilson of Every Last Detail coordinated this fun juxtaposition of styles and helped to create a sweet, joyful celebration for this lovely couple that worked really well!  Tasha Owen Photography captured the festivities in these beautifully detailed photographs:

Smilax vines draped the back of the chairs during the ceremony and graced the floral arch as well.  More greenery, flowers, and lanterns placed down the sides of the aisle complimented the sweet garden feel.  For the reception, the floral arch became the backdrop to the sweet heart table and centerpieces in mixed silver mercury glass and gold containers adorned the tables.  A beautiful event for a beautiful couple!

Jane and Kenny – Organic SoDo Park Wedding

Flora Nova Design Seattle - Organic SoDo Park Wedding

Jane and Kenny’s wedding last July at SoDo Park was a beautiful showcase of organic summer style.  Raspberry leaves, Meadowsweet Spirea, Ninebark, Kinnikinnick, Wisteria, Queen Anne’s Lace, and more: so many delicate summer greens to play with! Jane and Kenny chose to pair their delicious greenery with soft summer whites (think cosmos, nigella, scabiosa, garden roses, and clematis) and shimmering golds (candelabras, urns, and votives).

For their reception, Jane and Kenny chose to set three long dining tables down the length of the draped SoDo Park space for a clean, elegant look.  The live-edge wooden head table was graced with a greenery garland, tall gold candlesticks, and soft urn arrangements — a great place to party (see the happy party-goers in the bottom picture below!). A big thank you to David Cho Photography for capturing all of the gorgeous details.  Enjoy!

Elle and Colby – A Romantic Winter Wedding

Elle and Colby’s Sodo Park wedding this past January was a super romantic affair featuring lots (and LOTS) of ferns, mosses, garlands, and greenery. I mean, just look at their ceremony aisle covered in greens and the large wreath above the reception tables!! Just wow!

Elle and her mom – in collaboration with the ever so awesome Holly-Kate Foss – were a pleasure to work with: though Elle’s mom was a little hesitant with Elle’s vision, she was quickly convinced. Even with minimal flowers you can create stunning bouquets and centerpieces and create a very warm and inviting atmosphere.

I received the sweetest card from Elle’s mom which puts it all into words perfectly: “Kent and I are still in the clouds after Elle and Colby’s breathtaking wedding. It truly was exquisite and had your magic fingerprints all over it. The bouquets, the church aisle candles + greenery, and the reception!!! Absolutely a stunning, elegant evening! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!”

It is for sweet notes like this, that make all the hard work pay off.

Shelly and Dave – Elegance at Sodo Park Seattle

Any wedding we get the pleasure of using gorgeous Cafe Au Lait dahlias is bound to be one of our favorites of the season, Dave and Shelly’s wedding at Sodo Park was no exception! What beautiful colors with the pops of juicy berry reds, muted pinks, and lots of greens, trailing ivy, and mossy elements. We had so much fun planning and designing this beautiful wedding with Shelly and her lovely mom! Their exquisite style expressed itself in every single design element and detail – we loved it!!

With all the sparkle of sequined table cloths, gold accents and candle light this wedding shone bright! We especially love details like their invitations matching the look and feel of the floral used in their wedding!

With a delicious meal prepared by Herban Feast and lots of dancing the guests and the Bride and Groom had a lovely evening to remember! With Day-of coordination by Perfectly Posh Events, all was captured by the talented Azzura Photography, enjoy looking at all these beautiful images!

A “Sparkly” Wedding at Sodo Park Seattle

Lindsay and Alex are a wonderful couple inside and out!! Their wedding at Herban Feast’s Sodo Park last summer was a perfect reflection of their fun personality and sophisticated style. Planned and coordinated by the ever so fabulous Megan Keller from A Kurant Event, the couple wanted to create a feel “like the inside of a champagne bottle”! How fun is that??!! The result was a room filled with sparkly linens, sparkly candle light, and of course lots of sparkly champagne glasses!

Every meeting with Lindsay and Alex was filled with laughter and wonderful ideas and if you look at the images of their wedding below you can see this happiness and cheerfulness at every moment of their wonderful day. Thank you Shane Macomber for the beautiful images!!

Maria and Ricardo’s Beautiful Sodo Park Wedding

Maria and Ricardo celebrated their fun, elegant, and glamorous wedding almost exactly a year ago at the hip Sodo Park by Herban Feast in Seattle. They were the sweetest couple to collaborate with! It was so much fun coming up with decor ideas for their swank wedding reception: floral in bright pink, glass spheres, crystal galore, feathers, trees, orchids … A fun combination to create sophisticated decor elements and table designs.

Thank you so much, Tasha Owen Photography, for the beautiful images!!!

For Maria’s slightly trailing bouquet in cream and blush we incorporated garden roses, calla lilies, dahlias, and orchids combined with fluffy feathers.

For their reception we designed centerpieces of various styles – incorporating fun elements like glass and wire orbs, crystal trees, submerged and floating elements, trailing orchids. A fun combination of modern and romantic lush.

We created a glamorous entry of silk draping, a partial crystal curtain, and glass orbs with floating blooms – a dramatic and beautiful touch greeting the guests.

And look at that cake!! Loved it!

Happy anniversary Maria and Ricardo! I have very fond memories of your wedding day! xoxo

Beautiful Sodo Park Wedding in Blush and Silver

Gorgeous couple! Stunning photography! Great style! What’s not to love about this wedding of Karisa and Kyle!
This wonderful couple got hitched last November at Holy Rosary Church in West Seattle, and then celebrated their wedding reception at Herban Feast Sodo Park. It was a true pleasure working with Karisa and her mom Kim and to come up with all those fun decor choices together – flawlessly coordinated by Merry Beth Turpin of Aisle of View. Romantic flowers in cream and blush were mixed with charcoal and silver accents – just add crystal trees, lots of candle light and a wonderful atmosphere is guaranteed. The outcome was truly stunning as you can see in these beautiful and artistic images by j.garner studios.

A Sodo Park Wedding of Luxurious Elegance

I loved this wedding! Fabulous bride and groom, fabulous venue, fabulous neutral color scheme, fabulous vendors!! So chic, so stylish! Did I say it was fabulous? 🙂
Jen and Eric tied the knot last March and chose one of my favorite venues – Herban Feast’s Sodo Park in South Seattle. I had so much fun working with Jen, Jen’s mother and Travis from True Colors selecting the color scheme, the floral choices to go with their subtle Northwest theme, and choosing the perfect decor elements. And there were so many beautiful decor aspects: from the lighting to the lounge area, from the draping to the beautiful large ceiling-hung candle frames, from the table top to the floral, the specialty chairs and linens, glassy baby votives, chargers, and and and. The whole day had a luxurious feel but in a more understated way: the subtle color palette and decor elements created a sophisticated and elegant atmosphere that was simply beautiful. The team at True Colors pulled all of this together so flawlessly – it was a spectacular evening!
But see for yourself! The gorgeous images by the talented team of Chris and Sarah Rhoads tell the story of the day perfectly.

Jen’s bouquet of white mini calla lilies – clean, dramatic, and oh so elegant
The ceremony focal point was a clean draped arch, with delicate floral touches
Oh, and the reception was simply gorgeous! The elegant centerpieces in green, cream, and champagne flowers were up-lit from below, we used crush platinum satin linens with black Chivari chairs, lots of candle light, and wall up-lighting
For the guest tables we designed 3 different centerpiece styles – a large mixed design on top of a tall glass vase, then a low mixed design surrounded by tall candle holders, and a modern break-away design in low squared glass vases. All of the designed featured roses, succulents, and unusual greens for a richly textured feel.
A cozy lounge with white leather soft seating is always a great treat for guests during the cocktail hour and the after-dinner party

Gorgeous Winter Wedding at Sodo Park

This wedding was one of my favorite of 2010! Not only because it was a luxurious winter wedding (we can’t get enough of those!), but also the bride and groom gave us a lot of design freedom to come up with a winter wedding of their dreams. And do I LOVE this wedding!
And to top things off this wedding was featured on the ultimate national wedding blog today – Style Me Pretty! Oh, it can’t get much better than that … 🙂
As you can see below, I had the hardest time deciding which pictures to use for this blog post. So I ended up using a LOT! Super talented Airika and Gerald of The Popes | Photographers captured to many beautiful details that it was impossible to limit the selection. By the way, a full set of pictures (over 100 of them with lots more details) can be found on the Style Me Pretty Gallery.
More background information on the sweet wedding couple Sarah and Steve can be found on the Style Me Pretty page – so make sure to check it out. And the long list of vendors contributing to this cool winter wedding is below.

The list of fabulous vendors contributing to this wedding was long, but besides The Popes I want to emphasize the tireless efforts of Holly Patton with Perfectly Posh Events who worked her magics pulling all these details together. It was such a pleasure working with her!
