We wanted to do a short post to be sure to show you a few of these beautiful images by Alante Photography, of this perfect wedding we did a few years ago and keep thinking about! Anna and Amitoz had two ceremonies to reflect both of their cultures. Anna wanted bright colors and blooms for her floral, I sure had a challenge and loads of fun making that amazing cascading bouquet for her! It sure was a show stopper!

Two Beautiful Brides – Golf Club at Newcastle Wedding

We can’t wait to show you the photos from this bright, joyful and light filled celebration of love that took place at the beautiful New Castle Golf Club. It featured an all white color palatte for the ceremony tent with two beautiful entrance pieces. There were thousands of white rose petals lining the sides of the aisle, and at the front, stunning tall white columns exploding with blooming branches and orchids. The stage was set for our two beautiful brides Keshia and Alyson!

Each of our brides carried bouquets that were distinctly unique but their designs were unified through a shared color palette – later used throughout the reception ballroom.

The colors for the reception were lavenders, greens, light blues, and white. The trailing elements and succulents perfectly captured a beautiful gardeny summer style. We loved creating the personal details like the herb bunches placed on each napkin to make each guest feel welcomed and special.

It was perfectly beautiful weather and a perfect celebration for two lovely brides!

A Newcastle Summer Wedding in Light Pink

Tyler and David tied the knot last August at Newcastle Golf Club. It was a gorgeous sunny summer day and the view from up here was simply marvelous. A perfect day for a wedding in the beautiful Northwest!
We had fun with Tyler’s traditional mostly white wedding: adding small touches of black brought in some sophisticated contrast, and the light pink floral accents softened the look and made the whole wedding feel so romantic.

Thank you Azzura Photography for the wonderful pictures of their wedding!

A Fabulous Wedding at Newcastle Golf Club in Black and White

This was one of my favorite summer weddings of 2012 – Lee and David’s July wedding at the Golf Club at Newcastle. The ceremony and reception had such a luxurious feel – due to the many, many orchids, the crystal strands, and the fabulous rentals. With Lee’s and David’s impeccable style sense we transformed the tent into a dreamy event space in black and white – with small touches of red. So stylish! So glamorous! Their wedding day was flawlessly coordinated by Merry Beth Turpin of Aisle of View and beautifully captured by Azzura Photography. A stunning job by both!!

First some pictures of the ceremony: large mounds of white orchids, roses, calla lilies, and hydrangea were propped onto tall crystal vases and silver stands and were grouped together in the ceremony front and were lining the aisle.

The reception decor was in mainly black and white but we incorporated small touches of red: red water goblets, small red orchid blooms tucked into each napkin, tiny amounts of red mixed into the floral designs. Quite a sophisticated color mix:
The sweetheart table remained a gorgeous focal point during the reception – the draped back ground and the tall ceremony arrangements served as a perfect frame for the bride and groom:
Lee’s bouquet in all black and white featured lots of orchids, calla lilies, and garden roses. Crystal pins and black feathers gave it a touch of “glam”!
The bride’s maids’ bouquets in all red created a dramatic and unexpected contrast – playful yet so elegant!!

Cheerful and Elegant Summer Wedding

This surely was a fun, vibrant, and super elegant summer wedding! I loved working with Lindsey and Matt to create a colorful, bright atmosphere for their wedding day. And I can’t think of a more cheerful color scheme than tangerine mixed with raspberry and chartreuse green. I love, love this color combination!
Lindsey and Matt tied the knot last August at Newcastle Golf Club – it was a warm summer day with a perfect deep blue sky.

For Lindsey’s bouquet we combined tangerine and raspberry roses, calla lilies, and chartreuse cymbidium orchids to create a clean round hand-tied bouquet
Annie G Photography captured the day and recently sent me these truly beautiful images
For the ceremony in the Prestwick Tent we created a natural garden-type arch interwoven with greens, branches and bright clusters of flowers
It was the aisle with its large designs of orange, tangerine, raspberry, and pink tones that tied it together and transformed the otherwise all white tent into a lush, brightly colored garden setting
Love this image of the flower girls and ring bearer!
The happy couple …
 … as newly-weds!!!
The black reception table linens made the color of the flowers pop even more! The ceremony flowers were reused on the guest tables on top of tall glass vases – creating a super-elegant atmosphere for the reception in the ballroom.
We designed 3 different table centerpiece styles for the reception – the variation in height and style creates visual interest. The tall arrangements also created focal points in the large ballroom.
The bridal bouquets were reused as decor for the long head table – combined with lots of candles and votives it makes for a beautiful display!
Finally, there is also a beautiful video of their wedding day by Good Times Production – enjoy!!

Molly & Preston: A Fabulous Summer Wedding!

I am TO-TA-LLY excited to share these pictures today! Everything about this wedding was perfect! The super cute bride and her mother, the wedding venue, the color theme, the style and feel of the day. Needless to say it was one of my favorites this year!
Because Molly and Preston live in California, I mainly got to “play” with the bride’s mother Nicki – and boy …, did we have fun! No corners were cut to make this the perfect day for the wedding couple. And Rubin Photography simply did a fantastic job capturing the fun of the day!

Molly and Preston tied the knot this past July – their wedding ceremony took place at grand St. James Cathedral and the sophisticated and so very elegant reception at Newcastle Golf Club. The whole day was filled with laughter, fun, and excitement – and … even the Seattle weather showed this lucky couple what a gorgeous summer day can look like in the Pacific Northwest! Not a cloud in the sky! Swoon!
For this beautiful wedding Flora Nova provided full event design services. We helped with and coordinated everything decor related: from chairs to table linens and draping, the umbrellas to the black and white dance floor, the entire table top and stationary, and of course all floral elements. So totally fun! Their color palette of yellow and black was paired with accents of silver and small hints of chartreuse green and we carried the palette throughout all those design components.

Molly’s gorgeously lush bouquet consisted of garden roses, cymbidium orchids, calla lilies, begonia, craspedia and proteas. The fully wrapped bouquet stems were adorned with a fun black and silver brooch.
Don’t you just love those bright yellow umbrellas? What a fun way to accessorize!

Here our new wristlet design for moms and grandmas – the yellow orchid makes this a very elegant floral accessory!

The wedding reception in the Newcastle ballroom was breath-taking – the up-lit yellow centerpieces just popped on the otherwise black tables. Yellow and black is such a sophisticated color combination!

The grand centerpieces featured garden roses, orchids in abundance, dahlias, spider mums, and hydrangea. Shorter vases with more yellow flowers brought punches of yellow down to the table top.

I always suggest different center piece styles of various height and style. Some tables, like in the photo below, we designed a piece in break-away style: different vases contained flowers of a different kind. So cool!

And other tables were decorated with a low lush arrangement with floral spilling over the vase top.

It was all the little details – like the orchids tucked into each napkins and the different ribbons wrapped around the napkins – that made the table top so elegant.

Here, Molly’s beautiful bridal bouquet adorned the sweet heart table …

And of course, the black and white dance floor was just the dot on the “i”!

Wow! What a grand wedding cake! It created a beautiful focal point during the wedding reception!

The Newcastle staff always does such a beautiful job with the presentation of the cut wedding cake! Isn’t this cake plate just adorable?
