Happy First Anniversary, Christine and Mark!! A little over a year ago this super-awesome couple celebrated their beautiful and unique wedding at the Seattle Aquarium. Christine was the dream bride and a dream client – I surely miss our meetings together in which we planned, laughed, created, and came up with so many lovely details. We incorporated elements like succulents and fern curls to create an event that feels very northwest but with unexpected touches of luxurious orchids. The chartreuse and purple floral color palate with lots of gold accents was so sharp and so fun!
We custom built her wedding arch and adorned it with silk, lots of greenery, and purple flowers. And we were in love with the long guest tables decorated with elevated and low centerpieces and tons of candles! And how unique is that ice curtain as divider between lounge and dinner reception?! And those little succulents for guest favors?!
Christine didn’t shy away from texture, unusual floral elements, and unique flowers. We incorporated a huge succulent into her bouquet, and she used large orchids in her hair. Just wow!!
This awesome wedding was flawlessly planned and coordinated by Merry Beth of Aisle of View and photographed by Kim and Loren of Alante Photography. Party Rentals by Cort and BBJ Linen, ice features by Creative Ice!
I was very much looking forward to blogging about this gorgeous wedding of Elena and John! Oh, how I love this couple!! They are truly the sweetest people and one of the most memorable and adorable clients ever. And because most planning meetings were attended by parents and siblings too, I was able to meet almost the whole family. So fun to come up with decor ideas together!
Elena and John celebrated their big day at the Seattle Aquarium
last October – a stunningly beautiful affair for 200+ guests. The Seattle Aquarium offers a gorgeous setting for a grand and elegant affair!
The ceremony took place in front of the large tank in the Aquarium foyer – the lighting, colors, and beauty of this setting created a breath taking backdrop for their ceremony.
Tall 10′ trees blooming with orchids and draped with many crystal strands offered a stunning frame for the ceremony. Wow!!
All the many wonderful details for Elena & John’s big day were pulled together and coordinated by the ever so fabulous Merry Beth Turpin of Aisle of View
and photographed by the oh, so talented
I so much love this look for the reception! Black table linens and chairs, lush white floral centerpieces, blue uplighting. And lots of bling!
A wonderfully elegant atmosphere!!
Wonderful lighting details – including the cool light box for the wedding cake and uplighting for the wall and their ice bar – were provided by the ever so fabulous team of GreenLight Event Design.
